Mounting Systems

Everything aboard needs to be attached to something, and this collection covers the mounts that do it properly: Glomex antenna mounts for rails, decks and mastheads, adjustable and ratchet mounts that fold an antenna flat, transducer mounting kits, and the Scotty system of rod holders, deck and rail mounts - including glue-on pads that put a rod holder or accessory on an inflatable's tubes.

The right mount matches three things: the thread or fitting on the equipment (marine antennas use a standard 1-inch 14 TPI thread), the surface you are fixing to - rail diameter, flat deck or angled coaming - and the loads involved. Ratchet mounts earn their keep on sailing boats, folding antennas down for bridges, sail handling and winter covers without tools.
