Bow Truster Anodes

A bow thruster's propeller and gear leg sit in a flooded tunnel, permanently immersed and easy to forget - exactly the conditions galvanic corrosion likes best. This collection covers thruster anodes to fit the popular makes: Sleipner Side Power series anodes, Vetus bolt-on and set anodes, Lewmar anode kits for 140 and 185 thrusters, and Quick-pattern anodes from Tecnoseal, in zinc and aluminium.

Thruster anodes are small and work hard, so check them at every lift-out and any time a diver is under the boat - many are more wasted than their owners expect. Identify the right anode by your thruster's make and model (usually on the motor housing above the tunnel), and fit new fixing screws with the anode so it stays electrically connected and physically attached.
