Interior Lights

Good cabin lighting changes how a boat feels after dark. This collection covers marine interior lighting throughout: LED ceiling and dome lights, ultra-flat touch-switch fittings, stainless reading spotlights, red/white night-vision lights, LED strip and rope lighting for lockers and mood, and the festoon and replacement bulbs for existing fittings - mostly in 12V from Osculati, NASA and Talamex.

LED is the obvious choice at anchor: a tenth of the power draw of filament bulbs means an evening of light barely dents the battery. Plan lighting in layers - general ceiling light, focused reading lights over berths and the chart table, and low-level or red lighting for night passages so the watch below sleeps and the watch on deck keeps night vision.
