Boat Deck Paint & Bilge Paints

Two jobs that need very different paint. Bilge paint is not just tidy — a painted bilge is one you can actually inspect. A white or light-coloured bilge shows up a diesel weep, a stern gland drip or a rust streak long before a bare, dark one does, and it stops the surface holding water and dirt. On deck, the choice is between a paint with grit already in it and adding your own: additives let you control how aggressive the finish is, which matters because a deck that shreds skin and sailbags is as much of a problem as one that is slippery.
